Apparently their Highnesses of Aethelmearc think I'm OK. Beeyotches. Give me an award and don't even give me the opportunity to decline it because they don't actually bother to wait until I'm in court to give it to me.

Of course, given that it's one of the reasons I was specifically *avoiding* kingdom courts, I guess that's only fair.

But I am curious to meet our seneschal, because apparently someone got OK'd for being seneschal of Myrkfaelinn and it wasn't me, and it wasn't Thorpe (because he already got OK'd for exactly that reason). I mean, shit, if someone else is really seneschal, why the fuck haven't they bothered to tell me so I can stop running the damn meetings?!?!!

I take it we lack of presence at a court event was remedied by the creation of a Dominion government? Bastards.

Of course, if we were a Barony, none of this would have happened...

*Dan runs!*

Wot hoppened?

They gave out a bunch of Keystones (Aethelmearc service, it would be a level below a Silver Crescent in the East if such things existed) at Ice Dragon on Saturday. I was apparently one of them (though they pronounced it "Stine". Argh.). Of the 6 or so that they awarded, Lisa was the only one to actually be there to receive it (but hers was given for "eating, sleeping, breathing and teaching fencing" when she hasn't put on a mask in 8 years) Someone who nobody has any idea about was given a scroll stating that they were being thanked for their work as seneschal of Myrkfaelinn. Mine was for "service". Gee whiz. Oh yeah, and they super sized mine too (awarded arms, despite that having been done... oh, three years ago or so).

So a whole bunch of screwiness between the heralds and scribes, to be sure. We're wondering if someone is actually looking to lose their job.
