There is hope, and that hope resides in contacting Mac to see if it is possible to temper stainless steel... but there is something that tells me that such a thing isn't possible.
Fight practice yesterday was *fun*. Connall (Verdant fields) was out, Bob was there, two newbies, Oliver, Lisa, Johnny, Anthony. The only sorness my shoulder had afterwards was that good "I've been working this hard" post PT soreness. Of course, I'm moving.... slowly would be a polite word. I also need to relearn some of the lessons I was finally starting to learn last summer, like getting over my tendency to do a bull rush (head down) when I'm making a thrust on another glaive. But loads of fun. Of course I needed to go pick up my gorget from Dan, which was entertaining (*knock knock knock* "Viking!), but moreso to his neighbors.
Small get-together became meat orgy last night. Lots of fun. Connall and Kate are still downstairs as I type, thanks to a 6 of Flower Power for Kate.
